The 2012 conference will be held at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth on 20-21st March. The venue has offered the same rates as the previous conferences so there will be no increase in delegate rates other than the increase in VAT that the hotel has to pass on to the UKPSF.

This year, due to the "recession" and the "slow up take", we offered discounted rates for the 24 hour delegates. We actually had more delegates in 2011 than 2010, so I propose to offer the same discounted rates for the 2012 conference for delegates who BOOK and PAY before 1st January 2012.

The Chesford Grange hotel is part of the Q hotel group and is a 4 star AA rated hotel. The hotel is set in 17 acres of private grounds, leading down to the River Avon, and is conveniently located to major road, rail links and airports. A recent £4 million investment has made the hotel one of the most prestigious state of the art conference hotels in Central England.

The hotel has extensive bars and restaurants and has a leisure club with a swimming pool, spa and gym. Unfortunately the hotel does not have a golf course (sorry !) The hotel offers free WiFi connection for 2 hours for all 24 hour delegates. Rooms have luxury en suite facilities, WiFi internet access, TV with Sky channels, tea/coffee making facilities and 24 hour room service.

The hotel is 2 minutes from the main A46 Warwick to Coventry road. For those wishing to travel by train there are two stations within 5 miles. For air travellers, Coventry airport is 8 miles and Birmingham International airport is 13 miles away.

Exhibition and Conference areas

At the Chesford Grange hotel we have been allocated an exhibition area similar to that at the Hellidon Lakes plus another area adjacent to the main room which will accommodate a further 5/6 stands. Stands will be limited and first come first served. This way we might be able to offer slightly larger floor areas for each exhibitor.

We will have a floor plan on the day and it will be allocated on a first come basis - this is because of the I'm not going next to that stand and I want to be near the bar attitude of some exhibitors. One plus point is that vehicular access is excellent for loading and unloading. Mobile phones work at this venue !!

On the second day we have arranged a conference room to accommodate 80-100 delegates for the "talks" section of the event.

Packages for the Conference and Exhibition

The accommodation and day delegate rates have increased slightly BUT we will offer the same rates to anyone booking and paying for a package before 31st January.

All payments must be made using an official booking form and by cheque.

24 hour delegate package

£160 per person or twin/double £270 for two delegates if paid by 1st January - £170 per person or £280 for a twin/double room if paid after 1st January.

As per last year we have to pay for the event by the middle of February so please book early to receive a discount and to help with the organisation of the event.

Exhibition Space

Initially the areas will be offered to all trade members and invited companies at a cost of £225 per stand (slight increase on 2008 price) Bookings received after 31 January will be charged at £250 per stand. Traders will be able to set up on the Tuesday from 9.30am.

We will initially allocate 3m by 2m area for all stands but would anticipate that this can be increased but not guaranteed so book based on the basic size. Allocation will be from 9.30am on the Tuesday and not before.

If you book a trade stand you must also pay for either the day delegate or 24 hr delegate package for ALL your staff.

Extra Information

Shakespeare Country

The local area has a wealth of history and many interesting places to visit so have a look at the local tourist board's website for more information. The hotel will be offering preferential rates for delegates who would like to stay on the Wednesday night and spend a day exploring the local area on the Thursday.

Night Clubs

As requested by several delegates at the last conference we have made sure we have booked the next conference within a taxi ride of a couple of night clubs.

Boardrooms

The hotel has several boardrooms available for trade members who would like a private meeting room. These must be booked direct with the hotel not via the UKPSF.

Delegate Pack

Since several stands kindly give out carrier bags for collecting leaflets etc... we will not be giving out a conference pack this year BUT all delegates will receive an "electronic" version containing the delegate pack on a USB memory stick.

Forum Updates and Conference newsletters

We will be updating the forum on a weekly basis from the end of January with a list of delegates and trade exhibitors. If you have received this newsletter via the postal system we also have an electronic version. We will only be sending conference updates via email as postage can prove expensive.
